1. About this service

TASTE OF ZAŌ is an information service for seeing, at a glance, which restaurants in the Zao Onsen area are open. It is operated by Yuge Inc.

No account and no sign-in are required, and we do not ask you to accept anything before you can read the site.

2. The restaurant information shown

Opening hours, today’s status, unscheduled closures, menus, prices and available seating all change. We work to keep what is shown accurate and current, based on information from the listed restaurants and our own checking.

Even so, what you see may differ from reality — a restaurant’s own circumstances, a sudden change, or a connectivity problem can all cause that. If you are set on a particular place, or travelling some distance to reach it, we recommend checking with the restaurant directly.

If you notice something that does not match reality, telling us through the feedback form genuinely helps. We check and correct it.

3. Coupons

• Coupons are offered by each listed restaurant. This service provides the place where they are shown.
• The conditions, validity period and eligible items shown on the coupon itself take precedence.
• A restaurant may change a coupon or stop offering it.
• This service does not guarantee that a coupon can be used. Whether it applies is the restaurant’s decision.

4. Map, distances and directions

The map, the distances and the links to directions are there to help you find a place. Distances are a rough guide based on straight-line distance on the map, and differ from the actual route and travel time.

They do not reflect real conditions such as winter road status, closures or snow. Please check local conditions and transport information before setting off.

5. The QR codes on display

The QR codes placed at venues and restaurants are entrances to this service. Scanning one requires no account and no personal details. The placement’s position is used as the starting point for distances — see the “About location” page for details.

6. Feedback and support

We use what you send through the feedback form to improve the service and to contact you where necessary. How it is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Where a support (donation) link is shown, payment takes place on an external payment service. This service never handles card details. For anything about the payment itself, please refer to that service’s own information.

7. Please don’t

• Act in ways that harm this service, the listed restaurants, or other users
• Make excessive automated requests, or otherwise interfere with how the service runs
• Republish the information here in an altered form that misrepresents the facts
• Impersonate a listed restaurant or a host venue
• Do anything unlawful

8. Interruptions and changes

Maintenance, faults or the state of an outside service may make all or part of this service temporarily unavailable. We may also change or discontinue features.

9. Liability

We work to keep the information here accurate and current. Even so, a sudden change made by a restaurant, a network fault, an outage at an outside service, or another circumstance beyond our reasonable control can leave what is shown differing from reality.

Except where we have acted intentionally or negligently, and except where the law otherwise makes us liable, we are not responsible for loss arising from such circumstances, which are not attributable to us.

Where the Consumer Contract Act of Japan or any other law does not allow liability to be excluded or limited, that law applies to the extent it so provides.

10. Rights

The design, logos, text and images of this service belong to us or to their respective rights holders. Map data belongs to its providers.

11. Changes to these terms

We will change these terms where necessary, and will say so on the service itself for anything significant.

12. Governing law

These terms and this service are governed by the laws of Japan.
